Kirk Vaughan Steaggles is a singer-songwriter who explores the extremes of the human condition with a raw, bluesy psychedelia. An uncompromising artist and captivating performer, he looks set to cause a stir in the underground scene.

An established figure on London’s live circuit, Kirk has played in a range of projects. Whether it be unleashing psychedelic squalls as guitarist in Circus Cannon, thundering fuzz-bass in Creeping Jean, or frenetic riffs with Suicide Generation, Kirk has always chased an uncompromising ideal of cathartic sonic release. Now stepping out as a solo artist, he is able to fully realise his vision.

Channeling a number of his idols, whether it be the surreal blues of Captain Beefheart, the theatre of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, the darkness of Nick Cave, or the brooding croon of Jim Morrison, Kirk has forged a singular sound to accompany his expressionist lyrics. His debut single, ‘Lover’, described by him as a “nightmare ballad”, perfectly showcases his range as an artist.
